Four Eagles Named WPSL All-Stars

A club-record four players were selected as WPSL All Stars, the league office announced.

First-year midfield trio Kelly DeNiro, Dani Gunderson, and Lisa Nouanesengsy were named as All Stars, and defender Amber Kern (pictured above) also earned the honors.

DeNiro led the Eagles with three goals, while Gunderson and Nouanesengsy each scored twice and combined to be a lethal midfield combination. Kern helped anchor a defensive unit that ranked statistically as – by far – the best unit in the club’s four years, and her ability to get forward on the counter-attack was vital to the team’s summer success.

These four Eagles join previous CEFC All Stars Corie Moore (2014) and Allison Harbart (2015) as representatives of the league’s year-end superlatives.
