It took a few weeks to shake off the offseason rust, but Columbus Eagles FC finished its home preseason slate with a win. The Eagles beat Otterbein 5-0 on Sunday evening.
Brooklyn Pritt got the Eagles on the board in the 15th minute, assisted by Lisa Nouanesengsy. It was Pritt’s first goal as an Eagle (she added another in the 43rd minute as well), and it came from a beautiful attacking move from Columbus:
The game was halted due to lightning in the 17th minute, but less than 10 minutes after the restart Ashley Gogolin scored one of the best goals in Eagles history. It was her second goal as an Eagle, and her best one:

Pritt made it 3-0 before the half, and Columbus kept the foot on the gas in the second half, putting two more past the Cardinals en route to a big preseason win. Pritt scored twice, Gogolin scored twice, and Kelly DeNiro got on the score sheet, too.
The Eagles’ next match is on the road at Asheville City SC in the final preseason tuneup of the spring. The club’s WPSL season starts May 11 at Ann Arbor, Mich. before the Eagles return home to face Cincinnati in the home opener on May 19.
Tickets for the WPSL home opener are on sale now for $10. That match (and all others) are included in an Eagles season membership.
All the remaining matches of the Eagles’ season will be available for live streaming on the club’s website. We will also send out the link to the live stream on our social media platforms.
