Monique Hanayik, a Sidney, Ohio, defender who played her college soccer at Capital University in Columbus, returns to Columbus Eagles FC for 2018. Hanayik had a solid season in 2017, starting the majority of Columbus’s matches in central defense. She helped lead the Eagles to their best-ever defensive season, where the club set a record for fewest goals allowed in a WPSL season.
