Eagles Kicked Off the Season With a Party at Land-Grant

Columbus Eagles FC’s fifth season is almost here – Saturday at 2 p.m. against Ann Arbor – but the club started the season in style Wednesday night by hosting a kickoff party at Land-Grant Brewing Company in downtown Columbus.

Eagles fans packed into the Kickstarter Room at Land-Grant to help the club celebrate the start of its fifth season. The 2018 Eagles were introduced and Eagles merchandise was raffled off to those in attendance.

After, Columbus-based photographer Julie Jackson held a photo shoot for Eagles players, coaches, and fans while everyone mingled and celebrated the occasion.

Carl Allen from Triple Digit Speed Pitch – the newest Eagles sponsor and a fundraising partner of local youth sports organizations – was in attendance at the event. Columbus Futsal was also there, just days after they started their professional season with a big win over Lansing this past weekend.

Land-Grant, a partner of the Eagles since earlier this year, helped host the event and has been a terrific partner of CEFC. The event was hosted at the Land-Grant taproom and the brewery gave a portion of the night’s proceeds back to the club. 

Thanks to all who attended! The Eagles start their season Saturday atagainst AAFC Lumberjills of Ann Arbor, Mich. Kickoff is scheduled for 2 p.m. at Otterbein University’s Memorial Stadium (135 Center St., Westerville, OH 43081). Tickets are on sale now for $10 online and at the gate.
