Columbus Eagles FC midfielder Dani Gunderson scored against Cincinnati Sirens FC in her return to action, picking up where she left off at the end of the 2017 WPSL season.Â
Gunderson joined forwards Larissa Najjar, Erin Brockway, Cassidy Ryan, and Madison Burchfield as the Eagles’ scorers in Saturday’s friendly match against Cincinnati. The fast-paced affair was a good tune-up for both teams. Columbus and Cincinnati are preparing for their 2018 WPSL seasons, which will kick off in May.
Gunderson – who’s also the assistant coach of the Denison University women’s soccer team – was the second-leading scorer for Columbus in 2017, notching two goals in the team’s win over Cincinnati at MAPFRE Stadium this past June.Â
