On Monday, Jan. 15, Columbus Eagles FC and the “Save The Crew” organization are partnering to host a Community Soccer Day, where youth clinics and an adult open field are free to the public. Resolute Athletic Complex – a great partner of the Eagles since the club’s inception in 2014 – will host the event from 1-5 p.m.
The event will consist of three youth clinics, taught by Eagles players and Save The Crew’s USSF-licensed members:
- 1 p.m.: girls and boys ages 6-8.
- 2 p.m.: girls and boys from ages 9-11
- 3 p.m.: girls and boys from ages 12-14
Athletes can wear any footwear they wish – sneakers, indoor shoes, and regular soccer cleats are all acceptable. Participants are also encouraged to bring shinguards, a soccer ball, and a water bottle.
After the youth clinics, adults will get the chance to take the field during an open session. Adults are encouraged to wear shinguards for the safety of all players.
Attendance is free, but spots are limited. Make sure to sign yourself or your child up for the event by visiting the event’s Eventbrite page.
